Style Post – Dubrovnik – Outfit Inspo

Dubrovnik is a magnificent city which boasts majestic buildings in stunning surroundings but with still a very relaxed feel. Most people dress stylish but chilled, as there is so much walking to be done in high temperatures, comfort is key. These were my favourite looks from Dubrovnik, full Travel Inspo to follow!

Mermaid Vibes

I felt like trying something new with this look and dress down these bold mermaid trousers. Although this isn’t something I would normally wear I am loved this look and definitely will try something like this again. Its also always amazing to go out in trainers and not have to worry about uncomfortable shoes

Yellow Mermaid Trousers – Zara – These are no longer available but I grabbed them in the sale for £19.99. These PLT and Topshop are the perfect alternative and under £25.

Black Bardot Crop – River Island – I love this River Island for a more glam look and this Topshop number for a more casual look like mine.

Shoes – Old School Vans – Schuh – £55.00

Bag – Saint Laurent Tassel Bag

Tassels for days

I loved this Zara dress when I saw it online, tassels and pom poms have been every where this summer and I loved the boho feel to this look. I teamed this dress with some bold tassel earrings and lace up sandals.

Dress – Zara – £39.99

Shoes – ON SALE – – H&M – £11.99

Earrings – ASOS – £10.00

Skater Girl

Feeling very early 2000’s Avril Levigne in this look but it was girly with an edge so perfect for me. This dress has been a regular in my suitcase, perfect to dress up or dress down but warning, Marilyn Monroe moments are a regular with a strong breeze in this dress!

Dress – Miss Selfridge – although the red is no longer available this black version is super cute and perfect for this trans seasonal weather

Shoes – Old School Vans – £55.00

Sunglasses – Vans via ASOS – £18.00 – these don’t seem to be available anhy more but I have found these fabulous extra ones that I love!

Khaleesi/ Bend the Knee feels

I love this dress, the mixed floral patterns and the corset back just made me fall in love. I also am in love with this new updo that is so easy to do in your own hair, I added a gold crown like accessory for some Khaleesi realness.

Dress  – £59.99 Topshop – This Zara dress is new in for the season and a perfect alternative¬

Shoes – ON SALE – – H&M – £11.99

Rose Hair Accessory – Zara – I bought mine some time ago but this ASOS two pack is perfect.

From Selfie to Self Expression

The Saatchi Gallery is one of my favourite galleries, it’s always interesting, regularly fashion focused and its free. I recently visited their current exhibition “From Selfie to Self Expression” which was perfect for any Instagram loving blogger.

The exhibit explores selfies through the ages, from self portraits to a room filled with a projection of your tubers and selfies. The exhibit also looks at those selfies that you cant believe are quite real….and usually aren’t.

There are also several interactive pieces that are really fun. This exhibit is not one to miss and runs until the 23rd July.

Although I’m in Chelsea nearly every day I could resist my own self expression in my floral Topshop dress  with the famous Pink House in Chelsea.

Fierce Festival Style

Might Hoopla definitely made it onto the list of my Summer highlights!!! A full day of fabulous campy popness! From Spice Girl tributes, All Saints, Bongo’s Bingo and the beyond amazing Years and Years closing the show. I loved it!

As soon as my friend asked me to go I started planning my outfit. As I was flicking through Instagram stumbled across a picture of Ferne McCann in a pair of star print flares and fell in love! I clicked through and found Willows Call.

Photo 07-06-2017, 12 39 08

Willows Call is an independent fashion label that takes inspiration from models, musicians and their groupies from past decades and injects it with the attitude of today. I found this Cosmic Jumpsuit and HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!

All day i was stopped and asked where I got my outfit and was living my Cher crossed with Britney crossed with 70’s fabulousness fantasy! I cannot wait to order my next piece although I’m praying the star flares or jumpsuit come back into stock. All of the pieces are reasonably priced with my jumpsuit priced at £65.  You will need to order in advance, orders can take 2 weeks to arrive so order early to avoid disappointment.

I just wish I had gone all the way with glitter highlight, hair glitter and teddy bear buns, maybe next time!

A little about Louis – A few things you wont know about the timeless Louis Vuitton

Every month I write for my company’s blog and this month I chose one of the most historic brands I still love today, Louis Vuitton! I spend a huge part of my week authenticating Louis Vuitton and seeing all of the different styles that have been created over the years, the oldest being a Bisten Trunk that was over 60 years old! Check out my most recent Handbag Clinic Post below

LFW Festival 17th- 21st February

London Fashion Week Festival is the only way to get access to LFW shows and goodies unless you are Kate Moss or Fashion Editor for Grazia. Held this year at 180 The Strand the venue was perfect, with a full length runway, floors of stalls/shops and a Pommery champagne bar there was something for everyone.

photo-24-02-2017-20-01-53

The venue was packed with things to do if you love fashion then seeing Runway shows and experiencing talks from one of the many industry leaders was a must. If you weren’t interested in the serious stuff there was still loads to do with free manicures, make up top up’s by Maybelline, hair touch up’s by Toni and Guy and discount designer shopping. I will definitely be booking up for next year and hopefully booking in for more shows and talks, in fact I’ll just move in for the full festival.

Photo 24-02-2017, 19 42 29.jpg

I saw a Designer runway by Huishan Zhang which was filled with feathers, denim and a twist on the classic floral spring look. I also saw a Trend show from Avenue 32 showcasing the must have looks for spring.

The New It Mulberry

header_2_60a6c858-208f-4dc7-82f7-0815e25f3e20_grande.jpg

Mulberry have certainly been doing some revamping recently, from bringing back their vintage stamping to renovating their classics and ditching styles such as the Del Rey to make room for some new pieces. Mulberry has grown from strength to strength over the years and always seem to bounce back with new styles that quickly become a must have item.

bayswater

As I buy Handbag’s for Handbag Clinic everyday I see a huge mix of Mulberry but nothing beats the Bayswater. Bayswater’s that come into our stores fly out with in minutes of being posted online or being placed on the shelf. The one photographed below was placed into our Newcastle store and sold in just 10 minutes!!! I’m sure the new sleeker, Celine esque Bayswater will be a huge hit.

If you are looking for a great quality, authentic, pre owned Mulberry (for roughly 50% less than in Mulberry) then keep you eyes on Handbag Clinic’s Facebook and Instagram, @handbagclinic . Bags will soon be available to buy online also so look out for that at the end of June.

stamping-mulberry

In honour of the Bayswater’s new look here are some cool facts about how it came to be Mulberry’s most iconic bag:

  1. Mulberry usually named their bags after rural locations in England but the Bayswater was one of the first Mulberry icons to venture into the city. The name Bayswater is taken from an upmarket, leafy district of London.
  2. Mulberry was launched with just £500 in 1971 by mother-and-son team Joan and Roger Saul but the iconic Baywaster was designed by Nicholas Knightly who joined the company in 2002.
  3. The Bayswater’s was inspired by a practical Doctors bag and the stylish Hermes Birkin design. This hybrid perfectly mixes practicality and style making it the perfect modern woman’s bag.
  4. The Bayswater was crowned the first ever British “It Bag”.
  5. The Bayswater has been carried by a huge range of celebs, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Fearne Cotton and Michelle Keegan are huge Mulberry fans and have regularly been papped with a Bayswater on their arm. The bag has even made it stateside on the like of Lauren Conrad, Blake Lively and Emma Roberts
